8-Day Expedition
Loreto Islands The first and last nights of your tour will be based in the charming town of Loreto on the Sea of Cortez. For the 6 days in between, you'll enjoy kayaking, camping, exploring and just plain relaxing on remote island beaches in the famed Loreto Marine Park. Secluded white sand beaches, azure seas and brilliant blue skies are home to frigate birds, osprey, pelicans, blue-footed boobies, dolphins, sea lions, rays and a myriad of tropical fish. You may even catch an occasional glimpse of a spouting whale or surfacing sea turtle on this remarkable trek.
Our experienced, naturalist-trained guides have traveled extensively in Baja and have intimate knowledge of the area's rich natural history. As skilled kayak instructors — all certified in Advanced Wilderness First Aid — they also provide training for those guests interested in developing their paddling skills. Whether you want to study the area's unique bird, fish and plant life, work on your roll, or just enjoy getting a tan ... this Baja expedition will be a memorable adventure.
Blue Waters Kayaking has been leading tours to Baja, Mexico, for over 20 years. We provide the camping and kayaking equipment, fabulous Mexican home-style food, and expert guidance. All you need to bring is your sleeping bag, personal gear, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn and have fun.
8-Day Combination
Three Nights Hotel-Based and and 3-Nights Islands Expedition Among our favorite offerings is an 8-day combination trip in which we'll spend 3 days and nights at the comfortable, secluded Tripui Resort Hotel, approx. 15 miles south of Loreto, and 4 exciting days kayaking and 3 blissful nights camping in the pristine and remote islands of the Loreto Marine Park. The final day will be spent enjoying the charming town of Loreto. At the Tripui Resort, you will have guided activities every day, led by our experienced naturalist guides. These include kayaking, snorkeling, hiking up desert canyons to pools and waterfalls, trips to local thermally heated tidepools, trips to see rare Blue Whales feeding, and more! The expedition portion will be spent kayaking and camping on remote beaches in the Loreto Marine Park, filling our days with kayaking, exploration and just plain relaxing. Secluded white sand beaches, azure seas and brilliant blue skies are home to frigate birds, osprey, pelicans, blue-footed boobies, dolphins, sea lions, rays and a myriad of tropical fish. We may even catch an occasional glimpse of a spouting whale or surfacing sea turtle on this remarkable trek.
